Feature Quests

Feature Quests are quests that unlock new features in the game that are not immediately available to the player. They were first added as a separate category with the unique blue icon in patch 3.3.
This page contains a list of these quests; details can be found on each quest's own page.
Instances
These quests will unlock instances such as dungeons and trials. While some are unlocked through Main Story Quests, others are unlocked through sidequests that are not mandatory. These instances can usually be accessed through the duty finder, but some require talking to a certain NPC to enter.

Levequests
These quests unlock access to levequests in their respective areas.
Grand Company
These quests unlock access to the three Grand Companies, as well as the Company Chocobo and Adventurer Squadrons.

These quests unlock access to tribe quests.
Locations
These quests unlock access to new locations, such as housing districts and The Gold Saucer.
Glamour and Customization
These quests unlock access to glamour, dyes, materia, and other methods of customizing your character and gear.
