This armor set is based on the outfits of the main cast of Final Fantasy IX, in line with the numerous other FFIX references in the Dawntrail expansion.

• The Fending/Maiming gear is based on Steiner.
• The Striking/Scouting gear is based on Zidane. It is the second set of gear to be based on Zidane's outfit, after the Tantalus Attire.
• The Aiming gear is based on Freya, although she is originally a Dragoon.
• The Healing/Casting gear is based on Garnet's white mage disguise, not her base outfit.
