Field Operations, also known as Adventuring Forays and often referred to by players as Exploration Zones, are endgame content for several expansions of Final Fantasy XIV. They consist of large-scale battlefield duties and raids, connected by storyline quests. These are optional and are not part of the Main Scenario. Each adventuring foray has special gameplay mechanics. The Stormblood and Shadowbringers adventuring forays are tied to the expansion's Relic Weapons.
