Journal
- Ghen Gen is fidgeting even more than usual.
- Ghen Gen urges you to intervene on his behalf in a matter involving his son Ghun Gun. The young Mord has earned a reputation as a hard worker, although he works a little too hard for his own good, only stopping to rest when specifically instructed to do so. The merchant asks that you travel to the Red Serai and ask Ghun Gun to refrain from any further exertion, lest he work himself to death.
- Ghun Gun pays little heed to his father's wishes, as he intends to carry on searching the rubble for “shinies” until a satisfactory haul can be found. However, he also understands that his refusal to rest would prevent you from fulfilling your promise to Ghen Gen. He suggests that were you to help him uncover a valuable relic or two, he would be able to stop working for at least long enough to catch his breath.
- After much scrabbling around under rubble and in the sand, you eventually come across an intricately engraved signet ring. Sensing that this is precisely the sort of relic Ghun Gun has been looking for, you make your way over to present the unearthed treasure.
- Ghun Gun is overjoyed with the signet ring you have found, and suggests that it may be highly valuable. He offers to give you half of the money earned from the sale of the relic, although it will first need to be evaluated to determine its true worth.
Dialogue
Accepting the Quest
Ghen Gen: Greetings, friend! You like helping people, yes? Maybe you can help me, too! Ghen Gen: You see, my son Ghun Gun makes me very proud, but very worried. He works very hard, too hard for his own good! Ghen Gen: He follows orders, yes. Follows them until someone tells him to stop. This is very dangerous, bad for his health! I need you to speak to him, persuade him to rest. Ghen Gen: He should be near the Red Serai, probably leaving no stone unturned in his search for relics. Ghen Gen: Please, tell him his father orders him to stop! (Optional) Ghen Gen: I must explain to Ghun Gun the dangers of working too hard. A dead Mord is no use to anyone!
Speaking with Ghun Gun (Cutscene)
Ghun Gun: Search the nooks, search the crannies~♪ Search high, search low~♪ Ghun Gun: Oh, sorry! I did not see you there. Are you lost? Ghun Gun: Father says I must rest? That will not do, no no. I will stop, but not yet! Ghun Gun: I need something to show for my efforts. All this scrabbling, all this searching and still no shinies! Ghun Gun: Hmm... You came here to tell me to stop, but if I refuse, your job will not be finished, will it? That will not do, either. Wait! I have an idea! Ghun Gun: If you help me find shinies, my job will be over, your job will be over, and I can rest! Simple, yes? Ghun Gun: Look under that rubble and find whatever there is to be found. Maybe it will be valuable, maybe not. Ghun Gun: Either way, let us keep searching until we get at least one shiny! (Optional) Ghun Gun: Good shinies are too sturdy to be squished by falling rubble, so no need to worry about that. Do try not to squish yourself, though!

Delivering the intricately engraved signet ring to Ghun Gun
Ghun Gun: What did you find? Not more rubble, I hope! <Hand Over Ancient Signet Ring> Ghun Gun: Oh, this looks very special... Such pretty patterns! I have never seen one like this before. Ghun Gun: But how much is it worth? I am an expert in finding shinies, not a historian. Perhaps we should ask someone. Ghun Gun: Once we sell it, we will divide the profits between us! Ghun Gun: We worked as a team, so half for you, half for me. Fair is fair!
