Guildhest Duty Roulette

Duty Roulette is a feature for the Duty Finder introduced in the patch 2.1. Duty Roulette allows the player to participate in randomized duties. Duty Roulette is divided into 4 categories: Leveling, High Level, Main Scenario and Guildhests. In Patch 2.2, Trials and Expert were introduced. In Patch 2.5, Frontline was introduced.

Currently players can only use the Duty Roulette while solo. They cannot join as groups (except for High Level and Expert) or with a Companion out.

Rewards for Duty Roulette

The Duty Roulette offers a daily reward that give the players a combination of experience, Grand Company Seals, Gil, Allagan Tomestone of Poetics and/or Allagan Tomestone of Law, depending on the type of duty.

  • The Gil amounts and Company Seals given are based on a level 50 class.
  • The "In Need" Bonus is given to the party role (Tank, Healer or DPS) that is most needed for the Duties in that category. It is given in addition to the normal reward and doesn't have a daily limit. Most of the time, Tanks are the most needed role although sometimes Healers are needed. DPS classes are most common and as such are rarely ever in need.

Expert Duty Roulette

The Expert Duty Roulette places the player into one of the new random level 60 light party dungeon released in last patch. These new dungeons are considered harder than those in previous patches and require a higher average item level. Like the High Level Duty Roulette the roulette will only become available after unlocking and completing all the dungeons in the roulette. As of patch 3.1, the following dungeons make up the Expert Duty Roulette:

As of patch 3.1, due to the above dungeons, an average item level of at least 170 is required.

Duty Roulette: Level 60

Duty Roulette: Level 50

The High Level Duty Roulette will put the player into a random level 50 light party dungeon. Unlike the Leveling Duty Roulette, the roulette will only become available after unlocking and completing all the dungeons in the roulette. As of patch 3.0, the following dungeons make up the High Level Duty Roulette:

As of patch 2.4, due to the above dungeons, an average item level of at least 80 is required.

As of patch 3.0, experience is awarded only after completion of dungeon.

Leveling Roulette

The Leveling Roulette will put the player into a random light party dungeon under level 50 (level 60 as of patch 3.0) that the player has unlocked; or one of the three original primal trials from the main story quests (The Bowl of Embers, The Navel and The Howling Eye). Players can participate in the Leveling Roulette once they have unlocked a dungeon at level 15 or higher. The daily reward for Leveling roulette depends on your character's level and the level of the dungeon / trial. Players below level 50 will receive a larger sum of experience along with Company Seals and Gil. Additional experience will be given to the player if they run a dungeon that is far below their level. Level 50 players will receive a daily amount of Allagan Tomestones.

As of Heavensward, Sohm Al, The Aery, The Vault and The Great Gubal Library are included, which are above level 50.

Trials

The Trials Duty Roulette will put the player into a random trial. Like the Leveling Duty Roulette, the roulette is available even if you have not unlocked all trials in the roulette (e.g. you do not have to have completed all of the Heavensward or Manderville trials before accessing the roulette). As of patch 3.0, the following trials make up the Trials Duty Roulette:

Main Scenario Roulette

Main Scenario Duty Roulette will place the player into one of the two full party dungeons from the finale of the main storyline quest, either Castrum Meridianum or The Praetorium. Completing both dungeons is necessary to unlock this roulette.

Guildhests Roulette

Guildhests Duty Roulette places the player into a random guildhest the player has unlocked. Players can begin to participate in this Duty Roulette at level 10 or higher. Roulette unlocks automatically when you unlock your first guildhest. Higher level guildhests are unlocked when players complete the previous set and are at least the same level as the next set, in increments of 5 levels until level 40.

Frontline Roulette

Introduced in patch 2.5, Frontline Roulette places the player into either Borderland Ruins (Secure) or Borderland Ruins (Slaughter).
