Introduction
Patch 5.0 is the initial release of the Shadowbringers expansion.
Notable Features, Additions, and Changes
New Content
- Main Story: Shadowbringers (Levels 70-80, 106 quests)
- New Locations: The Crystarium (Major City), Eulmore (Minor City), Rak'tika, Amh Araeng, Il Mheg, Kholusia, Lakeland, and The Tempest
- New races: Hrothgar (Male only), Viera (Female only)
- New jobs:
Gunbreaker (Tank), 
Dancer (Physical Ranged Damage) - Dungeons: Holminster Switch, Dohn Mheg, The Qitana Ravel, Malikah's Well, Mt. Gulg, Amaurot, The Twinning, Akadaemia Anyder
- Trials: The Dancing Plague, The Crown of the Immaculate, The Dying Gasp, The Dancing Plague (Extreme), The Crown of the Immaculate (Extreme)
- Raid Series: Eden's Gate, Eden's Gate (Savage) the first part of the Eden story and raid series
System Changes and Additions
- Level cap increased to 80 for all classes and jobs except Blue Mage.
- Tactical points (TP) have been removed. The TP gauge in the HUD has been removed to correspond with this.
- Main Attribute materia have been deprecated and can no longer be melded.
Miscellaneous
- New Allagan Tomestone currency:
Allagan Tomestones of Goetia and 
Allagan Tomestones of Phantasmagoria
Allagan Tomestones of Mendacity and 
Allagan Tomestones of Genesis are now deprecated and can be exchanged for 
Allagan Tomestones of Poetics for a limited time. Activites that previously rewarded Mendacity and Genesis, and rewards purchased for Mendacity and Genesis, now use Poetics.
Allagan Tomestones of Creation have been removed.
- New Scrip currency:
White Crafters' Scrip and 
White Gatherers' Scrip
Red Crafters' Scrip and 
Red Gatherers' Scrip are now deprecated and can be exchanged for 
Yellow Crafters' Scrip and 
Yellow Gatherers' Scrip for a limited time. Items currently obtained with red crafters’ and gatherers’ scrips will be obtained with yellow crafters’ and gatherers’ scrips respectively by speaking with the scrip exchange, with some exceptions.
Blue Crafters' Scrip and 
Blue Gatherers' Scrip have been removed.
