Shield Oath
“Reduces damage taken by 20%, while reducing damage dealt by 15% and increasing enmity.
Cannot be used with Sword Oath.
Effect ends upon reuse.— In-game description
Shield Oath is an action unlocked by questing at level 30. It is available for Paladin.
History
- Patch 5.0 (2019-07-02): Removed and replaced with Iron Will.
- Patch 4.0 (2017-06-20):
- Now acquired at level 30 (previously level 40).
- No longer increases chance to hit.
- Patch 3.2 (2016-02-23):
- Use will no longer interrupt weaponskill combos.
- Damage penalty has been reduced from 20% to 15%.
- The amount of enmity generated has been increased.
- Patch 2.3 (2014-07-08): The effects of Shield Oath will not be lost upon incapacitation.
- Patch 2.15 (2014-01-20): Fixed an issue wherein the increase enmity effect of Shield Oath would persist when switching to Sword Oath.
- Patch 2.1 (2013-12-17): Enmity generated has been increased.
- Patch 2.0 (2013-08-27): Added.
