Pre-Requisite

Before beginning to create your Resistance Weapon, you must:

• Complete Main Scenario Quests: Shadowbringers
• Complete Side Quest: The City of Lost Angels
• Reach level 80 for your chosen job as a Disciple of War or Disciple of Magic .

Upon completing these quests, players will receive one resistance weapon based on the job with which they progressed through the quest. The first three quests are only done once and do not need to be repeated; further weapons will start from the repeatable quest Resistance Is (Not) Futile.

Completing The City of Lost Angels requires that players complete the three Lv. 70 alliance raids in the Return to Ivalice series. These can be done by queuing in Duty Finder like other alliance raids, although queue times for these can be fairly lengthy in some data centers. Players can try queuing at peak hours or form a Party Finder group with an Unrestricted Party (unsynced) for an easy completion.

To complete this quest, players must also undertake a lengthy instanced duty. In the event you are defeated by one of its bosses, your progression in the duty will be saved, allowing you to challenge them again immediately rather than start from the beginning.
