The perpetrator of the chaos in Asphodelos is revealed to be none other than its keyward Hesperos. Once known for his kindness to both warders and captives alike, he now appears before you as an amalgamation of mythic beast and man─a hemitheos. Drunk with devotion to Lahabrea and dripping venom for Erichthonios, Asphodelos's keeper may too be its most fearsome creation...

— In-game description

Asphodelos: The Fourth Circle is a level 90 raid introduced in patch 6.01 with Endwalker.

Phases & Abilities

Aggressive difficulty r6.png Hemitheos: Hesperos

A very straightforward fight with numerous simple to handle attacks that one shot kill people.

Set the Stage

Hesperos drops a curtain on one, three, or four quarters of the field. After a short time the curtain glows red, then disappears, revealing one of four elemental wells he uses for his next attack. Set the Stage appears to deal no damage.

Pinax

One of the four elemental wells flares with power. Then an attack lands depending on what well discharged.

The first well will always be lightning. This attack deals damage to everyone close to the center, and one shot kills anyone who isn't in a corner.

The second well to appear will always be water. This attack pushes everyone from the center, and anyone too close to the edge is pushed into the spikes and dies.

The third well is always acid, and puts spread markers on everyone. Anyone hit by two acid sprays dies, but this attack is very slow and easy to handle.

The fourth well is always magma, and puts a stack marker on a random raid member.

<direction> Bound

Hesperos puts a marker to the north, south, east, or west, depending on the direction of the attack.

If there is a sword over the marker, he'll do an extremely wide cone attack that hits the entire field. This attack deals extreme damage and is a one shot kill on anyone who already has a vulnerability stack.

If there is a cloak over the marker, he'll do a burst push from the marker that hits the entire field. This attack pushes anyone who isn't directly in front of the marker into the spikes, killing them.

Aether drain?

Hesperos drains the Aether from everyone, doing raidwide aoe damage. Then he does one of two attacks.

If he puts meteor markers on the field, each meteor has to be caught by a raid member or he will inflict extreme damage on the entire raid. However! Each meteor will have a role symbol above it with a red X. If a member of that role catches that meteor, they will be instantly killed.

If he puts green orbs around the outskirts of the board, each will tether to a player and chase them. Each meteor has an anti-role marker above them for the role of the player they're tethered to. Players should intercept the orbs targeting a role different from themselves. If you touch an orb that matches your role, you die. Also, if you touch three different orbs, you die.
