Legend holds that this great and powerful guardian was defeated by the first Ronkan emperor and sealed within crystal embedded in a great tree. After its capture, it was said to have granted visions of the future to Keepers of Whispers, thereby helping to maintain the empire's rule, but the truth remains a mystery, as does the serpent's true name. To date, more than sixty-six monikers-including the Great Serpent of Ronka—have been recorded in reference to the being.
