Useful Lore References for Contributors

As we continue to fill in missing lore pages about frequently referenced topics, I want to share some links to key lore compilations by other FFXIV players. For the most part, these sources do point to other valid references from Encyclopaedia Eorzea 1 and 2, Live letter posts on the forum by Square Enix Staff, and in-game dialogue. Please do not cite the non-SquareEnix links I provide here as valid sources, but you may cite the reference material referred to within them. E.g. if a link I provide below in turn references an in-game source, cite the in-game source.

• [Full section of Letters from the Producer] Posts from this can frequently be referenced, but
  • make sure to link to the exact entry (usually found in the top-right corner of the post as a number, e.g. #42),
  • AND make sure you are linking from a staff member's post and not a user quoting a staff member's post.
• [Lore Forum] the sticky posts are great for language articles.
• [[1]] Side Stories from the Lodestone that often reveal juicy bits of background lore
