“This plaza, just south of the gate which shares its name, was the site of a battle between Sekiseigumi and insurgents plotting to assassinate the Kugane bugyo. Though Kugane's peacekeepers triumphed in the end, many within and without the city were troubled to hear of violence in the streets.
