Lore

Ul'dah is known as the most wealthy of the city states, and is found in the desert area of southern Aldernad. Its flag bears scales as a symbol of its wealth. Its population was once exclusive Lalafel, but its wealth attracted all people from all of Eoreza. The city is organized around the domed citadel at its center. Its towering wall and defenses are clearly visible for many malms around. Ul'dah wealth comes from its mineral resources and clothcrafting. While the sultan claims rulership, the true power lies with the syndicate of six who are the most influencial and richest members of society. Nadal is the patron deity of the city, and two great halls devoted to him can be found in the eastern and western parts of the city. Ul'dah is primarily intact and was not directly damaged by the Calamity. It has been redecorated and some areas modified.
