Pre-Requisite

Before begin to create your Novus Zodiac Weapons, you must have completed your Animus Zodiac Weapon. Through the course of the quest you will need:

• 3 Superior Enchanted Ink or at least 750 Allagan Tomestone of Soldiery.
• Access to the Expert Duty Roulette.
• The Decipher and Dig skills from Treasure Hunting.

This can be obtained from the quest Treasures and Tribulations from H'loonh in Wineport, Eastern La Noscea (x21, y21).

• Possession of, or substantial Gil for, a large amount of materia.

Speak with Jalzahn in Hyrstmill (x30,y19) with your Animus Zodiac Weapon equipped. He will explain that it may be possible for your weapon to become stronger with materia but that conventional melding will not work due to the preclusive presence of soul energy. Travel to Mutamix Bubblypots in The Bonfire (x23,y13). Speak with Mutamix Bubblypots's new disciple Hubairtin in The Bonfire (x23,y13). His new technique involves converting the power of materia into a form of light energy. In order to apply it to your Zodiac Weapon; Hubairtin need to create a Novus Scroll. Speak with Rowena at Revenant's Toll. Obtain three bottles of superior enchanted ink from Auriana and show them to Hubairtin. Speak to Nedrick Ironheart (x12,y14) in Vesper Bay. Travel to Revenant's Toll in Mor Dhona to speak with Rowena (x22,y6). Travel to Hyrstmill in North Shroud to speak with Gerolt (x30,y20).
