Astral Fire is a buff that increases the damage and MP cost of Fire spells, while lowering the damage and MP cost of Ice spells. At 3 stacks, the cast time of Ice spells is also halved. Natural MP regeneration is halted during Astral Fire. Refresh effects (Refresh, Ewer, Lucid Dreaming) do not give MP during Astral Fire. Direct MP gains (Max-Ether, Mana Shift, Convert) give MP during Astral Fire.
MP cost increase to Fire spells is as follows:
- 1-3 stacks: 200% MP cost (2.0x)
Damage increase to Fire spells is as follows:
- 1 stack: 40% increased damage (1.4x)
- 2 stacks: 60% increased damage (1.6x)
- 3 stacks: 80% increased damage (1.8x)
MP cost decrease to Ice spells is as follows:
- 1 stack: 50% MP cost (0.5x)
- 2-3 stacks: 25% MP cost (0.25x)
Damage decrease to Ice spells is as follows:
- 1 stack: 10% decreased damage (0.9x)
- 2 stacks: 20% decreased damage (0.8x)
- 3 stacks: 30% decreased damage (0.7x)
Cast time reduction to Ice spells is as follows:
- 3 stacks: 50% cast time (0.5x). Does not affect recast time.

Stacks up to 3 at level 40: Magick and Mend II
