High Quality (HQ) items are highlighted with a golden shine in the icon and with a symbol in text. Most gear and materials exist in HQ variants.

HQ items function the same as their normal counterparts, but convey special benefits. They also provide double rewards when turned in in Grand Company provisioning and supply missions.

HQ gear has slightly better stats than its normal counterparts. .

HQ materials

For each gathering attempt, there is a chance that the item gathered will be HQ. This chance can be modified through special actions.

When used in crafting, HQ items provide up to a 50% bonus to item quality, depending on for how many ingredients HQ items are used. This 50% quality bonus results in a 15% chance that the crafted item will be a HQ item.
