Speaker Elect of the Forum, this fifty-four-year-old Elezen was born into the prestigious House Clarke, which traces its lineage to the days of the nation's founding. Despite the family's long and storied history, however, it has arguably never produced any figures of significant influence. Indeed, while Barnier achieved excellent marks as a student, he was never first in class, and an awareness of his limitations predisposed him to assert his views with restraint. Perhaps because of this, he is deft at shepherding strong-willed individuals in the same direction—a talent recognized by the Forum and which earned him a nomination to its highest seat. Though guiding his people through the Final Days was undeniably a monumental task, he downplays his role and attributes his successes to those around him, again demonstrating his qualities as a leader. As befits his observant nature, he enjoys hobbies such as bird-watching.
