Story

The story revolves around the follow-up of The Ultima Weapon project by the VIIth Imperial Legion and it's new Legatus, as well as the struggles of five Raen Au Ra orphans adopted by Gaius van Baelsar before the war with Eorzea.

Release

The first part of The Sorrow of Werlyt was released with Patch 5.2 on February 17, 2020. This included the 8-man trial, Cinder Drift and it's Extreme. The second part followed with Patch 5.3 on August 10, 2020 and included a solo duty vs The Sapphire Weapon. The Third part came with Patch 5.4 on December 7, 2020 and included the second 8-man trial, Castrum Marinum and it's Extreme. The fourth and final part was released on April 13, 2021 as part of Patch 5.5 and contains the finale to the series, The Cloud Deck and it's Extreme.
