Otis is the former captain of the Knights of Alexandria who volunteered to have his memories transferred into an automaton as an early experiment for the creation of the Endless. He resides in the Archeo Alexandria ruins in Heritage Found and is the caretaker of Gulool Ja.
When King Zoraal Ja's army attacks Solution Nine, Otis is taken control of by him and attacks the player and their allies, although he regains his senses upon encountering Queen Sphene. Otis's body fully shuts down when he protects them from a monster that was released during the attack.
Otis is later encountered again in his original human form (a product of the Endless) in Living Memory, where he and Wuk Lamat are actors in a play depicting the war between Alexandria and Lindblum. He dissipates once the Geo Terminal is deactivated.
