Provoke
“Gesture threateningly, placing yourself at the top of a target's enmity list while gaining additional enmity.
— In-game description
Provoke is an action unlocked at level 15. It is available for Tank.
Additional Information
- In duties with two tanks, tankbusters and other mechanics can require swapping which tank is currently holding enmity on the boss. To do this, the current off-tank will use Provoke followed by the former main tank using Shirk on the provoking player. This ensures the new tank has a strong enmity lead on the boss.
- Provoke has no effect whatsoever on FATE enemies or Hunt marks.
- This skill brings you to the top of the enmity list for your current target only. It does not have any Area of Effect like the old Paladin skill Flash did.
- As of patch 6.2, the additional enmity gained is equal to an attack of at least 4,000 potency.[1]
- If a player uses Provoke on a target where they are already the highest enmity, they will still gain the bonus additional enmity.
