Garleans are a race of people who control the Garlean Empire faction in Final Fantasy XIV. Their modern-day home is known as Garlemald, after having been driven from their ancestral home at Locus Amoenus.
The term "Garlean" can also refer to someone, of any race, who is affiliated with the Garlean Empire.
Full-blooded individuals of the Garlean race can be easily identified by their third eye. They are incapable of wielding Aether-based magick, and instead utilize Magitek.
