Level 50 Progression Guide

Weapon Progression

After reaching level 50, players should start their A Relic Reborn quest chain by talking to Nedrick Ironheart in Vesper Bay of Western Thanalan (x12,y14). The first quest in the chain is named The Weaponsmith of Legend. At the end of the quest chain players will acquire their item level 80 Relic Weapon that correspond to their jobs.

Players can upgrade their Relic Weapons into item level 90 Zenith Relic Weapons by using 3 Thavnairian Mist with the Relic Weapon at the furnace in Hyrstmill, North Shroud. Players can purchase the Thavnairian Mists from Auriana in Revenant's Toll, Mor Dhona (x22,y6). Each Thavnairian Mist cost 150 Allagan Tomestone of Soldiery. Players will need 450 Soldiery total.

Players can further upgrade their Zenith Relic Weapons into item level 100, 110 then 115 Zodiac Weapons.

Players can obtain Item level 95 weapons from The Binding Coil of Bahamut Turn 5 and The Whorleater (Extreme). The weapons from The Whorleater (Extreme) can be upgraded to ilevel 100 with a Mirror of The Whorl.

Players can obtain iLevel 100 Weathered Weapons by trading 1 Unidentified Allagan Tomestone, obtained from The Second Coil of Bahamut Turn 2, and Rowena's Token (Soldiery), obtained from purchasing it from Rowena with Soldiery Tomestones. Players can upgrade Weathered Weapons into their Ilvl 110 versions using the Sands of Time. Sands of Time is dropped from The Second Coil of Bahamut Turn 2 and The Second Coil of Bahamut Turn 4.

Item Level 100 Weapons from The Striking Tree (Extreme).

Item level 110 weapons from Shiva (Extreme).

Item level 115 weapons are obtained from The Second Coil of Bahamut Turn 4.

Item level 120 Ironworks Magitek Weapons purchased with Rowena's Token (Poetics) and Encrypted Tomestone.

Item level 130 Augmented Ironworks Magitek Weapons are upgraded from Carbontwine and Ironworks Magitek Weapons.

Armor Progression

After reaching level 50, players should do Labyrinth of the Ancients of the Crystal Tower for item level 80 armor and Allagan Tomestone of Mythology. Players can exchange Myth Tomestones for Item level 90 armor by talking to Auriana in Mor Dhona (x22,y6). Additionally, players can do speed runs of Brayflox's Longstop (Hard) for additional Mythology tomestones, Allagan Tomestone of Soldiery and item level 70 gear.

Players can obtain Item Level 90 gear from The Binding Coil of Bahamut Turns.

Item Level 100 Armor from Syrcus Tower.

Players can exchange Soldiery Tomestones for item level 100 Weathered Armor.

Players can obtain Item Level 110 gear from The Second Coil of Bahamut Turns and upgraded from Weathered Armor with Sands of Time.

Item level 120 Ironworks Armor purchased with Poetics Tomestones. Loot from The World of Darkness.

BiS: Item level 130 Augmented Ironworks Armor upgraded from Ironworks Armor and Carbontwine. Loot from The Final Coil of Bahamut.

Accessory Progression

Item level 90 Rings, Earrings, Bracelets and Necklaces can be acquired by trading Allagan Tomestone of Mythology to Auriana in Mor Dhona (x22,y6).

Item Level 90 Rings, Earrings and Bracelets can also be acquired from The Howling Eye (Extreme), The Navel (Extreme) and The Bowl of Embers (Extreme) respectively. Additionally, Ilvl 80 Rings can be acquired from The Minstrel's Ballad: Ultima's Bane.

Item Level 90 Accessories can be obtained from The Binding Coil of Bahamut Turns.

Item Level 80 Necklaces can be acquired from The Minstrel's Ballad: Ultima's Bane and item level 100 Neckalces can be acquired from Thornmarch (Extreme).

Item Level 100 Rings can be obtained from The Striking Tree (Extreme)

Players can exchange Soldiery Tomestones for item level 100 Weathered Accessories.

Item level 110 Accessories can be obtained from The Second Coil of Bahamut Turns and upgraded from Weathered Accessories with Oil of Time.

Item level 120 Ironworks Accessories can be purchased with Poetics Tomestones. Bracelets are dropped by Shiva (Extreme).

BiS: Item level 130 Augmented Ironworks Accessories are upgraded from Ironworks Accessories with Carboncoat. Loot from The Final Coil of Bahamut.

The Wanderer's Palace is a 4-man dungeon that can be farmed for 30 Allagan Tomestones of Mythology per run. Additionally, iLevel 55 armor along with iLevel 55 weapon can be found here.

Amdapor Keep

Amdapor Keep is a 4-man dungeon that can be farmed for 100 Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy and 40 Allagan Tomestones of Mythology per run. Additionally, iLevel 60 armor can be found here.

A Relic Reborn

A Relic Reborn is a questline that allows you to unlock your job's Relic Weapon.

Ifrit (Hard)

Ifrit (Hard) is a 8-man trial that is required to unlock Garuda (Hard). Players will receive 10 Tomestones of Philosophy and 4 Tomestones of Mythology for completing the trial. Additionally, iLevel 60 weapons drop here.

Crystal Tower: Labyrinth of the Ancients

Labyrinth of the Ancients is a 24 player dungeon that requires the player to have an average item level of 50+. Players will receive 200 Tomestones of Philosophy and 50 Tomestones of Mythology for completing the trial. Additionally, iLevel 80 armor drop here.

Garuda (Hard)

Main article: The Howling Eye (Hard)

Garuda (Hard) is a 8-man trial that is required to unlock Titan (Hard). Players will receive 15 Tomestones of Philosophy and 10 Tomestones of Mythology for completing the trial. Additionally, iLevel 70 weapons drop here.

• iLevel 50 or higher gear is recommended for this instance.

Thornmarch

Thornmarch is a 8-man trial. The difficulty of Thornmarch is between that of Garuda (Hard) and Titan (Hard). Players will receive 15 Tomestones of Philosophy and 12 Tomestones of Mythology for completing the trial. Additionally, iLevel 65 weapons drop here.

Titan (Hard)

Main article: The Navel (Hard)

Titan (Hard) is a 8-man trial that is required to unlock The Binding Coil of Bahamut. Players will receive 20 Tomestones of Philosophy and 15 Tomestones of Mythology for completing the trial. Additionally, iLevel 70 weapons drop here.

• iLevel 65 or higher gear is recommended for this instance.

The Minstrel's Ballad: Ultima's Bane

The Ultima Weapon (Hard) is a 8-man trial that requires the player to have an average item level of 61 or higher. Players will receive 20 Tomestones of Philosophy and 17 Tomestones of Mythology for completing the trial. Additionally, iLevel 80 necklaces and rings drop here.

Garuda (Extreme)

Garuda (Extreme) is a 8-man trial that requires the player to have an average item level of 65 or higher. Players will receive 25 Tomestones of Philosophy and 19 Tomestones of Mythology for completing the trial. Additionally, iLevel 90 rings drop here.

Titan (Extreme)

Titan (Extreme) is a 8-man trial that requires the player to have an average item level of 67 or higher. Players will receive 25 Tomestones of Philosophy and 22 Tomestones of Mythology for completing the trial. Additionally, iLevel 90 earrings drop here.

Ifrit (Extreme)

Ifrit (Extreme) is a 8-man trial that requires the player to have an average item level of 70 or higher. Players will receive 25 Tomestones of Philosophy and 25 Tomestones of Mythology for completing the trial. Additionally, iLevel 90 wrists drop here.

The Binding Coil of Bahamut

The Binding Coil of Bahamut is a large 8-man dungeon divided into 5 smaller dungeons called Turns. It is currently the most difficult dungeon in game. Players can acquire iLvl 90 gear from this instance.
