Blacksmith is a crafting or disciples of hand class that works with metals to create weapons such as swords and axes and tools. The ores they use are gathered by miners. Blacksmiths can create hand-to-hand weapons for pugilists, swords and daggers for gladiators, two-handed axes for marauders. In addition to weapons for disciples of war, they can also make various tools for crafting and gathering classes. Blacksmiths can forge hatchets and scythes for botanists, pickaxes and sledgehammers for miners, knives for culinarians and leatherworkers, hammers for goldsmith, blacksmiths and armorers, saws and hammers for carpenters, pliers for armorers, mortars for alchemists, awls for leatherworkers and files for blacksmith.

The Blacksmith's Guild, named Naldiq & Vymelli's, is located in Limsa Lominsa.
- To become a blacksmith, talk to the blacksmith's guild receptionist when you're level 10 or higher on another class.

It is in the fires and on the anvils of blacksmiths that weapons and tools of metal are crafted. Their work is in demand far and wide, whether it be hammering the blade of a sword at the forge, or whetting the edge of an axe at camp.
Limsa Lominsa has been renowned for its blacksmithing tradition since antiquity, though the advanced metallurgical techniques passed on today bear little resemblance to the simple practices of ancient times. The relatively recent birth of firearms has created an entirely new area of expertise which is being adopted with fervor by many ambitious smiths.[1]
