Removing Doom
If there is a bar on top of the status, then Doom can be removed by using Esuna. Sometimes, monsters can cast Doom that can't be removed with Esuna but by other means, such as topping off the targeted player's HP bar to full or killing all the spawned adds.
[1] For the Thunder God, Cid, Doom is still the healer's responsibility to resolve. It requires restoring players to full HP before the timer kills them (a healing check). There are several other mechanics that function the same way but are not called "Doom" directly.
