“Since its sudden appearance in Norvrandt, the Crystal Tower has been a source of great mystery, one which the people of the Crystarium have barely begun to unravel. Now that the city is free from the threat of the Lightwardens, researchers have been afforded the opportunity to explore the innermost reaches of the tower, though they soon found their way barred by hordes of ferocious guardians. An aetherial disturbance detected from inside is believed to be in some way linked to their appearance, and you have been tasked with not only clearing a path for the researchers, but with investigating the cause of the anomaly.

The Twinning is a level 80 dungeon introduced in patch 5.0 with Shadowbringers.
Objectives
Bosses
There are three bosses in The Twinning.
Alpha Zaghnai
- Augurium: Tankbuster.
- Beastly Roar : Moderate damage to the group.
- Pounce Errant: Circular area of effect damage around the player. Alpha Zaghnal will pounce at the player dealing moderate damage. Mind that this attack will also break the glass cages and releasd more mobs.
- Sword Marker on player: Line area of effect attack. Mind not to point this at the glass tanks, it will break them and release the mobs inside. The number of swords indicate the order of the targets, one sword will get hit first.
- Charge Eradicated: Stack marker on one player. This ability will create a persitent area of effect damage field.
Beta Zaghnai: Mobs inside the glass cages.
Mithridates
- Thunder Beam: Tank Buster.
- Electric Discharge: Places a number of purple orbs around the area. Those orbs will discharge after a time, dealing area damage around them.
- Laserblade: Line area of effect, crosswise with secure spots in-between.
- Allagan Thunder: Circular attack centred on all player.
The Tycoon
- Magitek Crossray: Places static extentions, after a few seconds fires damaging beams from it, into the directions the extentions are pointing (away from the boss).
- Defensive Array: Same as Magitek Crossray but the extentions are pointing inwards..
- Artifical Gravity: Places a number of circular damage fields around the area. This will cover nearly the whole area.
- Rail Cannon: Tank buster .
- High-tension Discharger: Moderate area wide damage.
