Notes

Midare Setsugekka is one of the three Iaijutsu that Samurai can cast in Stormblood. It can be cast at any time, so long the Samurai has all 3 Sen available.

The three single target abilities that generate Sen are Yukikaze - Setsu, Gekko - Getsu, and Kasha - Ka, with the two AoE abilities being Oka - Ka and Mangetsu - Getsu.

As all Iaijutsu, Midare Setsugekka is a Weaponskill, so it can be stacked with Hissatsu: Kaiten.

While Iaijutsu is gained at level 30, Yukikaze is not gained until level 50, which is needed to unlock the final Sen. Effectively, this makes Midare Setsugekka a level 50 ability.

Trivia

Midare Setsugekka is written as "乱れ雪月花" which translates to "Chaos of the Four Seasons." "Setsugekka" (雪月花) or sometimes "Setsugetsuka" (雪月花) is a compound word meaning "Beauty of the Four Seasons," and contains the kanji for "snow" (雪 Yuki), "moon" (月 Tsuki), and "flowers" (花 Hana).

The word "Setsugetsuka" (雪月花) contains the names of the three Sen, with Setsu representing "snow" and being gained through Yukikaze, Getsu representing "moon" and being gained through Gekko, and Ka representing "flowers" and being gained through Kasha.

You can see these three represented in the skill animation.
