Reasons not to suggest desyncing coils for gear:
- Solo farming (Savage) only works at 50, and is thus not a sustainable way to teach sprouts to get gear.
- It requires a level-capped player to help you, or for you to already be capped.
- It requires that you have no
Poetics or 
Gil, which is incredibly unlikely. - It is confusing to have three different methods called out at the top.
- The Heavensward 115 gear (and all catch-up gear) is given by the MSQ, so there will be a steady supply on the Market Board even if no one is crafting this gear.

Artisan's Gear - Purchased how
Why does this guide suggest buying the Artisan Gear with Company Seals? As long as you're a Lieutenant in your Grand Company and have done the level 50 Disciple of Hand quest, you can pretty reliably make the HQ materials to get the Master I tomes. Yeah, that also costs thousands of seals in materials, but far, far less than actually buying the gear straight-up from your Grand Company.
- 9 Hardened Sap - 1800 seals (to make Treated Spruce Lumber to get Master Carpenter I)
- 18 Coke - 3600 seals (to make Darksteel Ingot to get Master Blacksmith I and Master Armorer I)
- 9 Peacock Ore - 1800 seals (to make Rose Gold Ingot to get Master Goldsmith I)
- 9 Animal Fat - 1800 seals (to make Hard Hippogryph Leather to get Master Leatherworker I)
- 9 Potash - 1800 seals (to make Vanya Silk to get Master Weaver I)
- 9 Lime Sulphur - 1800 seals (to make Growth Formula Delta Concentrate to get Master Alchemist I)
- 1 Cooking Sherry - 20 seals (to make Sauteed Coeurl to get Master Culinarian I)
totaling 12620 Seals. And then the items you actually trade in for the Artisan primary tools and armor don't require any seals at all, you can just craft these with stuff you gather completely normally.
