Spiders are some of the most common vilekin on Hydaelyn, with thousands of different species documented living in all climes, from the equator to the arctic. While most species seek their prey in the form of smaller vilekin or cloudkin, so strong are the silks of some larger spiders that even the occasional Lalafell has been known to find himself trapped in a web with no means of escape. Naturalists have recently discovered families of spiders which appear to fill their abdomens with lighter-than-air gases which allow the vilekin a crude form of flight.
