The Twelve

Deities, also referred to as gods, are part of the process of creating your character. In Final Fantasy XIV there are 12 different deities that you can choose from before you embark upon your adventure. Each one of these 12 deities represent one of the months inside the game.

Elemental Resistances

• Retired items may still be kept in inventory but can no longer be renewably obtained. Tradable items may still be obtained from the Market Board or directly trading with other players.
• The information in this section is kept and maintained for historical purposes.
• Deities no longer influence elemental resistances since those stats were removed. Deities are now only for flavor.

The Deity you chose during character creation affected your character's elemental resistances. The total elemental resistance of each deity was 330. There was a 2 point difference between high elemental resistance of 54 and low elemental resistance of 52. These resistances came in the form of fire, ice, wind, earth, lightning, and also water.
