Important Differences

If starting the game as an Archer, your next quest will be Training with Leih. If you started as a different class and picked up Archer as an extra class, then My First Bow will be next. As a result this will affect what steps you need to take and what your Journal will look like.

Steps

• Speak to Athelyna and select "So You Want to Be an Archer."
• Speak to Athelyna again.
• Speak to Luciane for your reward.

Journal

• Athelyna wishes you to reaffirm your desire to join the Archers' Guild.
• You have been referred to Luciane, the master of the Archers' Guild. Seek her out in the rear chamber.
• Luciane teaches you that an archer must be able to identify and exploit the enemy's weakness. To this end, the guild seeks to instill a discerning eye within its members. Equip the Weathered Shortbow Luciane has gifted you, and speak to her once more to be assigned your first trial.
• ※The next archer quest will be available from Luciane upon reaching level 5.

Steps

• Go southeast out of New Gridania through the Blue Badger Gate exit to the Central Shroud.
• Slay 3 Ground Squirrels.
• Slay 3 Little Ladybugs.
• Slay 3 Forest Funguars.
• Return to New Gridania, and the Archers' Guild.
• Speak to Luciane for your reward.

Journal

• You have been referred to Luciane, the master of the Archers' Guild. Seek her out in the rear chamber.
• Luciane wishes to test your fitness to join the Archers' Guild. Take yourself outside the city and slay three squirrels, three ladybugs, and three funguars.
• You have succeeded in slaying the specified creatures. Report back to Luciane at the Archers' Guild.
• Having successfully completed the trial, Luciane names you a member of the Archers' Guild. She encourages you to practice proper technique, loosing arrow after arrow until the movement becomes second nature.
• ※The next archer quest will be available from Luciane upon reaching level 5.
