Lore

Even during the occupation, this settlement on the bank of the One River was considered a thriving center of culture and commerce. Alas, much of the enclave was razed to the ground as punishment for Lord Kaien’s failed rebellion. The Shazenkai now works to restore it to its former glory.

Kienkan

The manor that Hien has claimed as his own once served as the residence of the enclave’s magistrate prior to the occupation, and an imperial guardhouse during it. So overjoyed were the people by their lord’s miraculous return that they bestowed upon the manor a new name meaning “The Swallow’s Homecoming.”

Tenkonto

Though disabled during the occupation, the Onishishu have since restored the enclave’s aetheryte to good working order at Lord Hien’s request. When offered payment for their services, the collective refused and stated they were simply happy to do their part to help Doma rebuild.

Shazenkai

The center of the reconstruction effort, the Shazenkai receives the petitions of local citizens and formulates plans for addressing their needs. They also accept donations from generous souls who wish to contribute to their cause.

The Ten Thousand Stalls

This collection of stalls selling all manner of foodstuffs is the result of the Shazenkai’s first initiative: to improve the quality of life for the people of the enclave that they might be more motivated to tackle more difficult tasks, and to feed refugees who have yet to get back on their feet.

The Yard

Rather than commit solely to the construction of facilities for crafters of practical tools or artists who fashion works for export, the Shazenkai set about creating a district that would fulfill both these needs. In one end, carpenters and smiths work closely to fashion tools and prepare materials for various purposes, while in the other papermakers produce what may be one of Doma’s most prized commodities.

The Enclave Barracks

Released from oral service and returned home, many former Doma conscripts have found new purpose in patrolling the streets and keeping the peace in the enclave.

The Watchtower

Built in place of a former Garlean structure that once served near the docks, this tower provides a vantage point from which Doma’s defenders can watch over the One River, and ensure that none attempt to bypass their fortifications via an underwater route, as recently did a contingent of Red Kojin.

Rissai-Juku

Though he had a reputation as a samurai of rare skill with blades and firearms alike, the eponymous founder also possessed extensive knowledge in a number of subjects owing to his love of books. After decades of faithful service to the Rijin, he left his post and opened a school with his own funds. Now that it has been rebuilt, he can once more devote his energies to educating the children of the enclave.

The Enclave Demesne

These tracts of land were made available to farmers whose fields were despoiled by imperial armies. Though some have been designated for rice cultivation, others are planned to host other crops.

The One Garden

A fusion of Hingan aesthetics and Doman horticulture, these gardens fed by the One River provide welcome respite for weary residents of the enclave. [1]
