— Encyclopædia Eorzea, p. 107
Blind Iron Mines is a landmark in Cedarwood, Lower La Noscea. Connecting Lower La Noscea with Middle La Noscea, it is a mine that has little to no ore left within it due to increased demand in the wake of the Calamity for rebuilding efforts, and as such, is rarely used anymore. As a result, it has become infested with Cave Bats. It was named as such due to miners having to dig by feel due to its thick, dusty air back in its heyday, calling it "blind iron mining"[1]. Broenruht is the overseer of Blind Iron Mines.
Pockets of brimstone endanger the lives of the miners that work there, along with assaults from syrphid clouds.[2]
