Southern Mare Lamentorum

The southern side of Mare Lamentorum slopes gently down towards the Cradle of Darkness, with the largely flat terrain doing little to obstruct the sweeping view. The ground is, however, rent asunder by deep canyons, making traversal to the northern side all but impossible on foot.

— Encyclopaedia Eorzea Volume III, p. 144

Southern Mare Lamentorum is an area in Mare Lamentorum, The Sea of Stars.
