The young Astrid de Valentione bears the torch that will guide the next generation toward love true. Though in truth a cousin, she has looked up to Lisette as an older sister for most of her sixteen years, and is presently her constant companion during Valentione's Day. Despite initially disapproving of Lisette's relationship with Ser Hortefense—thinking a mere knight no proper match—the man proved unflappable in the face of her objections, and eventually won the younger woman over.
While Astrid stumbled in her initial efforts to spread her house's message, she has of late become a beacon of ardor and affection to match even Lisette in brilliance. Along with Kupka Kupp, a moogle with an ear for the whispers of the heart, she has delivered countless souls their match.
