Unlike in Shadowbringers, for Endwalker you do not need to have completed any role questlines to progress the story. The role quests are also not required to unlock the i560 Artifact Armor for Endwalker (that unlock is part of the main scenario). Completing the role quests just makes the level 89 Artifact Armor dyable.
