“"We survived the Final Days. We are a strong and proud people. We, the Radiant Host, will keep Thavnair safe in your absence!"
The most formidable warriors of the Radiant Host are the Sakti, commanded by thirty-four-year-old Nahbdeen bin Pashe. When the Tower of Zot appeared, the decorated Raen, stationed at the Hamsa Hatchery, was among the first to engage the strange primal-like beings that emerged. At the time he was unaware Vrtra and Varshahn were one and the same, and thought it passing strange that the boy was not called back to the city for his safety. After learning the true nature of Radz-at-Han's leader, Nahbdeen was conflicted as to whether he should apologize to the great wyrm he had but recently chided. He ultimately decided to instead express his contrition through action rather than words, and redoubled his efforts to protect the citizenry.
While Nahbdeen was initially reluctant to support the satrap's desire to personally venture into the void, as a father to two young daughters of his own, the soldier knew well how precious one's family could be, and resolved to encourage his liege, both as an advisor and as Varshahn's "older brother."
