When threatened, the squib will roll into a nigh-impenetrable ball, and wait until danger has passed. If further agitated while in this spherical state, it will begin rotating at a blinding speed, shredding anyone and anything nearby with its spiked shell—a habit that surprisingly, despite the threat it poses, can benefit the environment by aerating soil.
