Lore
Velibor is a direct descendant of the founders of the Verdant Path, a school that trains its students in every martial skill imaginable, from long and short-range weapons to hand-to-hand combat and close range fighting styles. Though this school once allied itself with the Garlean Empire when they invaded in order to save the lives of its students, when Velibor's father became the master of the school, it aligned itself with the Bozjan Resistance, training its troops to be masters of combat.
It is here that Velibor met his cousin, Blaz Azetina, who he eventually came to consider his brother. The two were exceptional at swordplay, forming a friendly rivalry, and even creating new combat techniques. After the Verdant Path formally entered into the Resistance, Velibor joined the frontlines, eventually earning himself a place as one of the Blades of Gunnhildr. Together, he and Blaz cut an imposing figure on the battlefield, mowing down any who would stand against them.
Velibor and Blaz both took part in the operaiton against the forces guarding Castrum Lacus Litore, until they were confronted by the traitor Misija wielding the ancient weapon Save the Queen, a blade that held the latent power and memories of Queen Gunnhildr. Forcing the Warrior of Light and Mikoto to use the power of the Echo to enter the blade's memories, she tampered with them and took their power for her own. Misija then used the blade to call on the Queen as a Primal and Tempered several of the Blades of Gunnhildr, Velibor and Blaz amongst them. Eventually their aether was twisted and they merged to form a horrific monster that guarded the Delubrum Reginae, and was laid to rest by the Warrior of Light.
