Disambig icon.png This article is about the in-universe lore meaning of "world". For the list of Servers, which are officially referred to as "Worlds", see Servers.

Final Fantasy XIV is set on two planets:

  • Hydaelyn, the Source, or Etheirys, is the setting of most of the game.
  • The First, one of the Shards (reflections) of Hydaelyn, is the setting of the Shadowbringers expansion.
  • The Void, one of the Shards (reflections) of Hydaelyn, is the home of all Voidsent and a major part of the Post-Endwalker plotline.

There are or were eleven other Shards, but they have as of yet not been depicted.
