The Rising (2014) is a seasonal event that took place from August 27, 2014 to September 8, 2014.
“FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn will celebrate its first anniversary on August 27, and we have a host of special events in the works for the next two months to commemorate this milestone!
Join us for a 14-hour anniversary broadcast featuring interactive events and appearances by special guests, revisit the events of the Calamity through the eyes of key characters in a series of five short stories, feast your eyes on stunning illustrations from the art team as we count down the one-year anniversary, read messages from the development team as they reflect upon the past year, and much more!
Community events also abound! Fans will have the opportunity to show off their Eorzean spirit in the One Year Anniversary Movie contest and Casting Call for Eorzean Talent event.
Rounding out the festivities is The Rising, a special in-game event commemorating the game’s first anniversary. Moonfire Faire and the Dragon Quest X, FINAL FANTASY XIII, and FINAL FANTASY XI collaboration events will also be making a return for players who missed them the last time around.

The Rising (2014) is the first anniversary celebration for A Real Reborn. It begins on Wednesday, August 27 at 1:00 AM and ends on Monday, September 8 at 7:59 AM PDT. Players can start the questline by talking to the NPC Bran in Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks (x11,y12)

In memory of those lost to the Calamity, and with hopes for a better tomorrow, the night sky alights with flowers of flame─a beauty to behold the realm over. Furthermore, rumor has it that this dazzling display has inspired a song of remembrance from a certain individual.
