• Patch 5.0 (2019-07-02):
  • MP cost has been set at 400 MP.
  • Now acquired at level 10 (previously level 20).
• Patch 4.05 (2017-07-17): MP cost was reduced.
• Patch 4.0 (2017-06-20): Changed to a role action, accessible by all healer classes.
• Patch 2.0 (2013-08-27): Added as a White Mage-exclusive spell.

Prior to Esuna turning into a healer role action, each healer had their own version of the spell:

• Scholar had its own cleanse,   Leeches, as well as an Area of Effect cleanse on Selene:   Fey Caress.
• Astrologian's cleanse was   Exalted Detriment.
