Despite concerns about the ophion's excessive efficiency as a predator, ambitious creators still wished to improve upon the concept, and the ladon is but one result. With its many heads, it can focus its deadly breath on many points at once—or so they thought. Initial iterations ran into difficulties, in fact, when the heads wounded each other, but eventually a means was developed by which their thoughts were attuned via aether, ensuring that the creature would not be the source of its own demise.
