Tips and Tricks

Vochstein's tank-focused attacks include Golden Talons and Alpine Draft. Golden Talons is a cleave attack on the tank that deals a moderate amount of damage. Other party members are recommended to avoid the cleave area in front of the boss. Alpine Draft is a tank-buster that shoots forward in a line in the direction of the tank for a significant amount of damage. Tanks should face Vochstein away from the party to avoid excess damage.

Vochstein's other mechanics include Winds of Winter and Freefall. Winds of Winter is a massive AOE that inflicts light damage and will affect the entire party. Freefall is an attack that randomly selects a non-tanking attacker for an AOE. Due to this mechanic it is recommended that ranged DPS spread out to avoid forcing significant portions of the attacking group to move in response to this attack. If hit by Freefall, the victim will sustain a moderate amount of damage and be stunned.

Description

Griffins have been bred in Gyr Abania for generations, but the Vochstein family was famous for the quality of its beasts. The griffins they raised was sought after by all, an' even the royal house had a few “Vochsteins” in its stables. Then the Empire invaded. "Not wantin' the imperials to steal his prized breedin' stock, the head o' the Vochstein family threw open the door to a certain stall. What flew out in a flurry o' feathers an' talons was the biggest, meanest sire what ever hunted the skies. Template:Elite Marks
