Asphodelos: The Third Circle is a level 90 raid introduced in patch 6.01 with Endwalker.
Phases & Abilities
Mythic Creation: The Phoinix
Important mechanics are the fireball animations around the Phoinix, soaking the Darkened Fires and avoiding the Fledgling Flight telegraphs. The boundaries of the platform are an instant death zone.
Phase 1
- Template:Vulnerability Experimental Fireplume: Depending on the boss animation, can be either:
- Single big fireball = Large AoE on center of platform.
- Smaller rotating fireballs = Rotating AoEs along the edge of the platform and a single one on the center.
- Scorched Exaltation: Raid-wide damage.
- Heat of Condemnation: Tank buster AoE on both tanks.
- Template:Vulnerability Darkened Fire + Brightened Fire: Summons four Darkened Fires and marks four players with Brightened Fire to soak them. Any remaining fires otherwise will do raid-wide damage.
- Template:Vulnerability Left/Right Cinderwing: Explodes the left or right side area of the boss.
- Template:Vulnerability Trail of Condemnation: The Phoinix hovers near the edge and divebombs across the center of the platform.
This transitions to Phase 2 with "A storm sweeps through, pouring burning rain!".
Phase 2
Two pairs of Sunbirds with green halos appear. They need to be disposed of without (significantly) letting them overlap on death.
- Template:Vulnerability Rear/Fore Carve: Sunbird backwards/forwards cone telegraph.
- Blazing Rain: Continuous raid-wide damage.
- Flames of Undeath: Raid-wide damage; once all Sunbirds are dead they are reincarnated into Sparkfledgeds (floaty eye things).
- Dead Rebirth: Raid-wide damage; will be fatal if the halos overlap by a lot or if the Phoinix Fire bar reaches 100%.
This transitions to Phase 3.
Phase 3
Includes all the abilities of Phase 1. Sparkfledgeds deal continuous damage to the offtank in this phase.
- Template:Vulnerability Fledgling Flight: The Sparkfledgeds detach from the Phoinix and each blast more than a quarter of the platform (Ashen Eye).
- Experimental Charplume: Obvious purple spread out markers.
