Born in a poverty-stricken farming village in [[Hingashi]], Tansui was witness to families selling off their children simply to have one less mouth to feed. Seeking to avoid the same fate, the young Hyur fled his home, and drifted into the welcoming arms of the Confederacy. When Doma fell to the empire some years later, it was Tansui who was given the task of supervising the orphans who joined their ranks. Thus fate did introduce him to Rasho, "a boy far too big to have a voice so small." They soon formed a well-balanced friendship, with Tansui eventually assuming the position of Rasho's infamous second-in-command. Tansui the Foxed is a Hyur found in The Ruby Sea. He serves as the second-in-command of Rasho, who leads the Far Eastern pirate faction known as The Confederacy. Like his superior, Tansui makes appearances in many quests that involve his organization. He also makes a minor appearance in certain Endwalker Role Quests that involve the Ruby Sea.
