Berehta
““I'm not sure how much more adventure my heart can take. Is it always so dangerous out here?”
A farmer of Coldhearth, Berehta wed her childhood sweetheart in the hamlet and came to carry his child. Alas, her husband never had the chance to behold his son, for he died fighting the Empire, and the Highlander woman was left to raise the child alone. Supported by those around her, she saw the boy grow into a good-natured young man, but he too was taken from her. At the age of forty-two, Berehta would learn of her son’s death as a proud soldier of the Ala Mhigan Resistance.
